Nexus One AT&T Review
By Jordan on April 10, 2010 at 10:40 pm

I just recently acquired the new Nexus One with the AT&T frequency bands! So far I love it. The only complaints that I have about it reside with the capacitive touch buttons. They can be difficult sometimes, and almost useless when lying flat on a table. Video review after the break.

HTC Touch Pro2 To Launch On Sprint And AT&T In US?
By Kyle on August 10, 2009 at 3:08 pm

sprint-touch-pro2

In the past day we have seen pictures of both a Sprint and an AT&T HTC Touch Pro2 (Tilt 2 on AT&T). This phone has debatably the best keyboard on a mobile phone. It runs Windows Mobile® 6.1 Professional and has a resistive touch screen. As a replacement to zooming with multitouch like you would see on capacitive screens, HTC has added a zoom line below the screen where you can run your finger across to zoom in and out. Continue for more pictures.

Carrier Wars – All About The Numbers
By Kyle on August 5, 2009 at 3:22 pm

networks

Verizon Wireless is leading in the United States with 87.7 million subscribers. Closely tailing Verizon is AT&T with around 80 million. This is largely due to AT&T’s exclusive deal to sell the iPhone. So that speaks loads about Verizon because they don’t have a phone anywhere near as popular as the iPhone and have around 7 million more customers.

In third place is Sprint which is behind in the game. Even with the launch of the Palm Pre last quarter Sprint’s subscribers are declining. Currently they have 48.8 million customers. They HTC Hero is rumored to launch in the United States on Sprint so that might help.

Bringing up the rear is T-Mobile with just over 30 million subscribers. The reason for this is largely because of their late adoption of a 3G network. Now that they have one established they can hopefully get more customers.

iPhone App Store Denies Google Voice App
By Kyle on July 27, 2009 at 11:55 pm

no google voice

Apple denied the official Google Voice app today and has started removing the other 3rd party Google Voice apps. This is a HUGE letdown for iPhone users. Android and Blackberry already have apps for it and had no problems doing so. The truth is Apple doesn’t care about whether or not Google Voice goes through, AT&T does. Once again AT&T screws with the iPhone. Boo!

Sprint Taking A More Agressive Marketing Strategy

pre owns apple ad

Sprint is definitely taking a shot at Apple and AT&T. Basically they are suggesting that you get much much more for a lot less. $1200 dollars less to be exact.

The ad is targeted at 1st gen iPhone users whose contracts are expiring and are looking to either renew or switch. It really is a tempting offer getting unlimited everything for only $99 a month. Also you get Sprint TV which you don’t get with an iPhone.

On top of all of this the Palm Pre is debatable superior to the iPhone 3G S (or any of the previous models) because it actually lets you multitask.

Truly it all depends where your priorities are. If you want a fun Apple device and have the money you might want to go the iPhone/AT&T route. If you want a powerful multitasking phone and want to save lots of money then the Pre is for you.

iPhone 3G Review

iphone3gpic

The iPhone 3G launched in July 2008 and in the past year tens of millions of units have been purchased. The 3G is still for sale on AT&T for $99 on contract. This is perfect for those who do not need some of the iPhone 3G S’s features such as the digital compass.

iPhone 3.0 OS Review
By Kyle on June 17, 2009 at 2:49 pm

landscape-larger

The iPhone’s new operating system rolled out a little past 1:00 PM EST. Apparently people in the US get a version without even the option to send MMS. This of course is because AT&T is waiting until the end of the summer to allow iPhones to MMS.

iPhone 3G S Preorders Are Sold Out
By Kyle on June 14, 2009 at 3:09 pm

iphone_3g_s

This really is no surprise considering how popular the previous iPhones were. You can still preorder your iPhone 3G S but it wont ship for 1-2 weeks after the release date. Also there are some iPhones set aside from the preordered ones that you can walk in and buy, or rather camp out and buy.
