Apple’s App Store Hits 100,000 Apps and Two Billion Downloads
By Kyle on November 7, 2009 at 6:02 pm

There was never any doubt that the iPhone had a huge App Store, but 100,000 is a heck of a lot. Also it seems like just last week that the one billionth app was download, and now it’s over two billion! These humongous numbers are a contributing force in the millions of people that flock to the iPhone. But do 100,000 apps mean anything?

Sprint Taking A More Agressive Marketing Strategy
By Kyle on June 27, 2009 at 12:48 am

Sprint is definitely taking a shot at Apple and AT&T. Basically they are suggesting that you get much much more for a lot less. $1200 dollars less to be exact.
The ad is targeted at 1st gen iPhone users whose contracts are expiring and are looking to either renew or switch. It really is a tempting offer getting unlimited everything for only $99 a month. Also you get Sprint TV which you don’t get with an iPhone.
On top of all of this the Palm Pre is debatable superior to the iPhone 3G S (or any of the previous models) because it actually lets you multitask.
Truly it all depends where your priorities are. If you want a fun Apple device and have the money you might want to go the iPhone/AT&T route. If you want a powerful multitasking phone and want to save lots of money then the Pre is for you.

iPhone 3G Review
By Kyle on June 26, 2009 at 3:37 pm

The iPhone 3G launched in July 2008 and in the past year tens of millions of units have been purchased. The 3G is still for sale on AT&T for $99 on contract. This is perfect for those who do not need some of the iPhone 3G S’s features such as the digital compass.

Where Has Steve Jobs Been?
By Kyle on June 25, 2009 at 11:46 am

Steve Jobs told the world that he had a hormone imbalance and “The remedy for this nutritional problem is relatively simple and straightforward, and I’ve already begun treatment.” It seems now that that is a lie. We have just learned that the CEO just received a liver transplant two months ago. Most people would assume that his money bumped him up on the waiting list but the hospital stated that he was “the sickest patient on the waiting list at the time a donor organ became available.”
Jobs might start working part time in a few weeks and everything will be back to normal. Many people are not happy that they were lied to and there seems to be some SEC investigation. Shareholders would not be happy because since Steve Jobs is such a part of Apple that his death would bring the stocks crashing down.

Gogo Gradation iPhone Case
By Kyle on June 15, 2009 at 8:34 pm

The Gradation Case by Gogo for the iPhone 3G is quite nice. I could hardly notice I had a case on since it weighs less than an ounce and only makes the iPhone 1 mm thicker. The back has a cutout around the Apple logo so you can see it. It is very easy to snap the phone into the case but a little difficult to snap it back out. As far as protection for the case it seems to offer very good protection on the back. There is very minimal protection on the front, but it does come with a screen guard which should help. Overall I would recommend the case to someone looking for a hard case that wants to protect the back of the device.
Go to the Gogo website to buy the case.

iPhone 3G S Preorders Are Sold Out
By Kyle on June 14, 2009 at 3:09 pm

This really is no surprise considering how popular the previous iPhones were. You can still preorder your iPhone 3G S but it wont ship for 1-2 weeks after the release date. Also there are some iPhones set aside from the preordered ones that you can walk in and buy, or rather camp out and buy.
