True Wireless Charging by Nokia
By Kyle on June 9, 2009 at 4:28 pm

The Touchstone from Palm is not really a wireless charger since it has wires and is connected to the wall. Nokia on the other hand is developing a phone that can charge wirelessly through ambient electromagnetic radiation. That means Wi-Fi cellular antennas, TV masts, and more can charge the phone. That means that basically anywhere you go it can charge. This means that future phones wont need any wires to function at all. Check out the source to see how exactly this is achieved.

iPhone 3GS is the new iPhone
By Kyle on June 8, 2009 at 5:05 pm

3GS is the third generation of Apple’s iPhone. The new version looks exactly the same as the old version, contrary to some proposed images. The big changes here are internal. Apple is boasting that most apps now run twice as fast with the improved internals. Also a digital compass was added for use in apps such as Maps to point in the direction it is facing. The only other update is the camera, now 3 megapixel with autofocus. There is no flash which is sort of a bummer, but the addition of autofocus will make the pictures so much better. Read on for the rest of the updates and features on the 3GS. Continue Reading
Palm Pre
By Kyle on June 6, 2009 at 10:55 pm

There hasn’t been this much hype for a phone since the iPhone. Some people camped out overnight in front of Sprint stores, but they were in much smaller numbers and much less days spent in line securing their position for their new gadget than those waiting for the iPhone, some up to one week. Nevertheless the Palm Pre was sold out at most stores before noon. The main reason for this is because of the short supply of this device. Even though there aren’t many devices available right now, there will be in a couple months. The research firm iSuppli estimates that Palm would sell around 1 million units in 2009. This is unbelievably low in comparison to the iPhone 3G’s release which sold 1 million units during its opening weekend. Continue Reading
