iPhone 3G S Sold More Than Expected
Don't let the short lines fool you

iphone 3g s line iphone

Don’t let the short lines fool you, the iPhone 3G S sold a lot more than was expected. This is largely due to the number of preorders made. Since many people just had the device mailed to them instead of going to the store and waiting hours or even days to buy it.

One analyst estimated that Apple would sell 500,000 devices its opening weekend. Another suggested 750,000. Both of those were wrong. Like the iPhone 3G Apple was able to sell over 1 Million devices its opening weekend.

Sprint Taking A More Agressive Marketing Strategy
They actually have a good point

pre owns apple ad

Sprint is definitely taking a shot at Apple and AT&T. Basically they are suggesting that you get much much more for a lot less. $1200 dollars less to be exact.

The ad is targeted at 1st gen iPhone users whose contracts are expiring and are looking to either renew or switch. It really is a tempting offer getting unlimited everything for only $99 a month. Also you get Sprint TV which you don’t get with an iPhone.

On top of all of this the Palm Pre is debatable superior to the iPhone 3G S (or any of the previous models) because it actually lets you multitask.

Truly it all depends where your priorities are. If you want a fun Apple device and have the money you might want to go the iPhone/AT&T route. If you want a powerful multitasking phone and want to save lots of money then the Pre is for you.

Google Adsense For Mobile Apps
Developers have a chance to earn more money
By Kyle on June 25, 2009 at 1:00 pm

google adsense apps

Could this bring the end to AdMob? There is a very high chance of this. Google Adsense will now be available for developers to use in apps for iPhone and Android. I know when I use apps I don’t even mean to tap on the ads but sometimes I do and that means money for the developers. These ads should be better than the ones we are currently used to on mobile apps since they will be much much more targeted. Continue reading for a video testimony by Urban Spoon. Continue Reading

htc-ozone

HTC is launching a cheap Windows Mobile based cell phone for Verizon. The phone will only cost you $49.99 on contract and after all the rebate jazz. The phone will be launching July 13th but you can get it online June 29th. If you are in the market for a inexpensive QWERTY Windows Mobile device then I’m sure this will work just fine.

Where Has Steve Jobs Been?
He was sicker than we thought
By Kyle on June 25, 2009 at 11:46 am

or

Steve Jobs told the world that he had a hormone imbalance and “The remedy for this nutritional problem is relatively simple and straightforward, and I’ve already begun treatment.” It seems now that that is a lie. We have just learned that the CEO just received a liver transplant two months ago. Most people would assume that his money bumped him up on the waiting list but the hospital stated that he was “the sickest patient on the waiting list at the time a donor organ became available.”

Jobs might start working part time in a few weeks and everything will be back to normal. Many people are not happy that they were lied to and there seems to be some SEC investigation. Shareholders would not be happy because since Steve Jobs is such a part of Apple that his death would bring the stocks crashing down.
