3GS is the third generation of Apple’s iPhone. The new version looks exactly the same as the old version, contrary to some proposed images. The big changes here are internal. Apple is boasting that most apps now run twice as fast with the improved internals. Also a digital compass was added for use in apps such as Maps to point in the direction it is facing. The only other update is the camera, now 3 megapixel with autofocus. There is no flash which is sort of a bummer, but the addition of autofocus will make the pictures so much better.
